The Miyabi Coat & ISM Coat Ceramic Coating Kit combines a durable base layer of Miyabi Coat with a rich top layer of ISM Coat for a rich and resilient finish for your vehicle! All at a cost less than purchasing the coatings individually!

Durability in normal conditions with regular maintenance has proven to be 40k miles in real-world, daily-driver situations in a Northern climate.

Using a single layer of Miyabi as a base coat improves the overall durability and lends a slightly reflective dimension to the luster of the ISM Coat top layer.

Maintain with Kamikaze Over Coat Liquid after a wash every 4-6 weeks to maintain the unmatched looks & hydrophobicity of this ultimate coating combination!

Miyabi Coat 2.0

  1. Start with a clean, dry surface that has no wax or sealants on it. Use a Panel Wipe product to fully strip the surface prior to coating.
  2. While polishing the surface first is not necessary, it is recommended to bring out the best looks in the finish.
  3. Shake the bottle thoroughly.
  4. Start with top surfaces first, and work panel by panel, applying and removing (i.e. hood, roof, trunk, fender, door, etc).
  5. In straight line motions, apply a thin layer to the surface, then switch directions in a cross-hatch pattern to ensure even application (do not add more product when you switch directions).
  6. Let the coating set on the surface for 3-5 minutes, then remove residue using 2 different towels. Keep the towels separate as you use one for the first wipe, then the other for the follow-up wipe. Ensure that you get ALL residue / dark patches off of the surface. Pressure is not needed during this process, as the residue should come off easily.
  7. Once you're finished, thoroughly inspect the vehicle (use a flashlight!) to make sure there are no dark spots remaining. Once this dries / cures, it can only be removed via machine polishing.
  8. Work out of direct sunlight, preferably in a garage. Do not apply in temperatures below about 50 degrees. During very high temperatures / humidity, reduce the amount of time between application and removal.
  9. IF you should allow the product to sit on the surface too long, it will become tacky / sticky. If this happens, apply more product right over top if it, and immediately remove.
  10. Wait an hour or two after your Miyabi application to begin applying Zipang. Complete all layers within 24 hours to ensure proper bonding of layers.

ISM Coat 3.0

  1. Make sure surface has been completely cleaned and decontaminated. The cleaner the surface, the better the bond!
  2. Even if you don't machine-polish the surface first, you want to do a thorough wipe-down with a stripping agent like ESOTERIC Panel Wipe. Use several towels throughout the process.
  3. Shake the bottle well as the carbon nanotubes may have settled.
  4. Using a dropper or pipette, apply a few straight lines of ISM v3.0 onto your applicator cloth
  5. Starting with horizontal / top surfaces first, apply ISM v3.0 in straight lines only (no cross-hatch, no circular application), and slightly overlap from one line to the next.
  6. Once you have evenly applied the coating to approximately a 3' x 3' section of your car, start your removal process. Do not apply to multiple panels before removing the coating. Any more than this, and the coating will become very difficult to remove and it will leave a smeary finish. If this happens, apply more product right on top of the affected area, and immediately remove. When applying to larger panels like a hood or roof, split the panel in half and do each half as a separate 'panel', overlapping slightly where the sections meet.
  7. Using 2 different towels (Eagle Edgeless 300 for initial wipe, and Eagle Edgeless 350 for the secondary wipe), thoroughly wipe down the section to remove the ISM residue. Your first wipe should remove about 80% of the residue, and your second wipe should easily remove the balance. Use small, circular motions and little to no pressure during removal. Be sure to check adjacent panels to make sure you haven't "pushed" ISM coat to other areas. Use a flashlight for inspection to make sure every bit of residue is gone. If you fail to remove all of the residue, it will become a dark spot once it cures, and it will require machine-polishing to correct. If you’re finding the residue challenging to remove, try a small spritz of water or a damp MF cloth to help with the removal.
  8. Multiple coats are not necessary.
  9. If you are doing the Miyabi / ISM combo, apply the Miyabi first per instructions, then wait for about 1-2 hours before applying ISM v3.0 according to the instructions above.
  10. Keep the vehicle dry for a minimum of 24 hours, but the longer the better. Do not wash the vehicle for 7 days. When you do wash, we recommend Kamikaze Collections LUXE Shampoo.
  11. Maintain your ISM v3.0 coat with a product like Overcoat from Kamikaze-Collection.
  • Once the bottle of coating is opened, the curing process begins, even if you put the cap back on tightly. Once opened, you should use the coating within one month's time.
  • Please be sure to use all coatings as soon as you can from the time you receive them.
  • All coatings have a limited shelf life due to the chemical nature of how they crystallize. Look to use coatings within 4-6 months of receiving them (less if bottle is opened).
  • Only use pH neutral shampoos, with no additives, gloss enhancers, waxes, or polymers.
  • ISM Coat can be used on both painted surfaces, and plastic trim. Miyabi Coat should be used on paint only.
