The ultimate in multi-layer Kamikaze Collection Ceramic Coating combinations!
Improving upon the already popular Miyabi & Zipang Ceramic Coating Kit, the use of the PHPS Primer layer in place of Miyabi improves the adhesion of the Zipang topcoat, extending the lifespan and resiliency. All at a cost less than purchasing the coatings individually!
This PHPS base coat acts as a primer, exploiting the molecular matrix of the clear coat, penetrating it to form strong cross-linked chemical bonds. The base coat also leaves an increased number of molecules on the surface, increasing the potential bonding sites for the top layer of Zipang.
KMKZ PHPS Inorganic Primer
- Thoroughly clean and prepare the area to be treated.
- Add an appropriate amount to the included applicator.
- Apply in a straight line to create an even film layer, no cross-hatch.
- When the surface film becomes scaly or has completely evaporated (about 2 to 3 minutes), wipe off with a microfiber towel.
- Wait 2-3 hours before applying top layer coating.
Zipang Coat 2.0
- Shake bottle
- Apply a small amount of Zipang Coat onto applicator cloth/block…enough for even coverage.
- Apply to surface in straight lines only (do not cross-hatch) with a little overlap to ensure a thick, even coverage to the surface.
- Using a 2-towel method (one designated for the initial wipe, the second to do the final wipe), gently remove the coating residue using small, circular motions after 3~5 minutes (1-2 panels at a time, look for ‘rainbow effect’). Humidity levels and ambient temperature will have an effect on curing time, so the higher the temperature and humidity, the shorter the amount of time between application and removal.
- After applying to the entire vehicle, be sure to look carefully for “high spots”, or darker patches where the coating wasn’t fully removed. Wipe these down right away, otherwise they will require machine polishing to remove if allowed to cure overnight.
- Do not allow the vehicle to get wet for at least 24 hours (the longer, the better), and don’t wash vehicle for 1 week.
